Share a photo of your favorite furry friend and help support DESSH Syndrome!
Join the 2021 DESSH Photo Contest! This past year had many of us facing new challenges we would have never imagined. It was our furry friends that we leaned on to make our days brighter. Share how your pet made you smile. Categories include: Silliest Pet, Cutest Pet, Like Owner, Like Pet, Pets being Naughty, and Pets on Vacation! (Many of us vacationed in our own backyards, and to our pets the past year was one big vacation!) This is a fantastic opportunity to show off your beloved pet while making a powerful impact on our community. All proceeds raised will be used to help sponsor our DESSH Family Clinic that will take place in St. Louis, Missouri in 2022.
Upon purchasing an entry ticket, you will receive a confirmation email with a link to upload your pet's photo.
OFFICIAL RULES
1. ELIGIBILITY. The contest is open to all, including (but certainly not limited to) DESSH patients and their families.
2. CONTEST ENTRY PERIOD. The Contest Entry Period begins on June 28, 2021 and ends on July 15, 2021. The voting period begins on July 16, 2021 and ends on July 20, 2021.
3. SUBMISSIONS.
a. Entries are accepted beginning midnight June 28th and ending 11:59pm July 15th. Each entrant must completely fill out the online entry form and submit the Photo in accordance with the on-screen instructions. All entries must be submitted online. Mailed or hard copy entries will not be accepted. All entries (including Photo submissions) must be received by the end of the Contest Entry Period.
b. Each entrant is required to submit an original photo, and may submit no more than one Photo for each category. Each Photo must be in good taste. The Contest reserves the right to disqualify any photo for any reason, including but not limited to the entrant's failure to comply with the requirements in this paragraph. BY SUBMITTING AN ENTRY, ENTRANTS ACKNOWLEDGE THAT THEIR ENTRIES MAY BE POSTED ON WWW.DESSH.ORG, or other sites run or supported by the DESSH Foundation.
4. WINNER SELECTION. Eligible entries will be posted on DESSH.ORG/EVENTS. Voting period begins on July 16, 2021 and ends on July 20, 2021. The top 3 photos with the most votes in each category will advance to the finals, where a panel of judges (some of our DESSH kids!) will determine one First Prize winner based on the overall appeal of the photo and the pet featured in it. Potential winners will be notified on or about July 21, 2021. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.
5. PRIZE. First Prize. One winner in each category will receive the First Prize, a voucher to our DESSH swag store at The DESSH Foundation Shop (spreadshirt.com).
